Our Turney Professional Groundcare team had a wonderful day at The Worcestershire Golf Club yesterday, nestled at the foot of the picturesque Malvern Hills.
We partnered with Ransomes Jacobsen to put on a show, and a show it was.
After an early start setting up the course, we greeted 60 guests with bacon baps (lathered in ketchup and brown sauce) and hot refreshments, fuelled by the excited energy in the air.
Of course, there were lots of high-quality freebies, with the caps, notebooks, and pens going down a treat on every table. Our staff even pinched some for ourselves … don’t tell Ransomes Jacobsen!
We settled into an incredible presentation from our Groundcare Area Sales Manager, Andy Laing, who introduced Turney group, offering insight into the history and breadth of our company. Following this, Ransomes Jacobsen introduced their machinery and the motivation and passion that go into every product.
We were eager to get out on the course and offer our customers the opportunity to get hands-on with the machines – to get mowing!
We learnt all about the Jacobsen Elite Eclipse 360, a machine that isn’t just about eliminating hydraulics, battery maintenance, and reducing emissions, but is about setting a new standard for efficiency and quality cut. With unparalleled range and exceptional battery life, it challenged us to redefine our expectations of a professional greens mower.
The SLF1 Elite, a super-light five-reel, 3-wheel,  lithium fairway mower, is the industry’s first all-electric machine of its kind, featuring precision quality of cut, superb contour following, virtually silent operation, all-wheel drive, advanced monitoring systems, and an impressive 500+ Ah Elite Lithium battery.
Also on show were our conventional combustion engine machines, the Jacobsen GP400, tailored for greens, tees, and surrounds, ensures excellent turf care with the option for Petrol or diesel powered engines. Â Similarly, the AR530 rotary pod mower for semi rough, is powered by a Kubota 50.2 HP (37.4kW) diesel engine. Known for its reliability and consistent cut, providing the best finish on the most complex and undulating areas of your course, handling dense grass with ease. The LF570, 5 reel fairway mower is powered by a 37.5 HP (36.4kW) engine and has maximum customisation for user convenience. Â Powered by a slightly smaller, 24.8 HP (18.6kW) engine, the TR320 Tees and surrounds machine has the power to handle various mowing conditions regardless of weather.

From Cushman, Ransomes Jacobsen brought the Hauler Pro X Elite, the Hauler XL Elite and an EZGO RXV Elite golf buggy. The Hauler XL  is equipped with a highly functional dash, electric bed lift, automatic parking brake, and 15-CU-FT aluminium cargo bed – a utility vehicle that will exceed the exacting standards of its job.
From Ransomes, the Aurora Elite is electrifying the industry, with zero-emissions, road-worthy, quiet turf maintenance solutions being just a few of its characteristics. It is meticulously designed to meet the demands of professional operators for their hardest working days.
After putting the machines to test, marveling at the precise quality of cut and limited noise pollution, we headed inside with hungry bellies, ready for a large lunch of sandwiches and delicious hot chips.
A wonderful networking opportunity, where everyone caught up, a great appreciation for the machines we had seen, Â followed us throughout our meal. From here, it was time to play golf! Our customers got to enjoy the rest of the afternoon getting stuck in and enjoying the beautifully presented Golf Course, with thanks to Course Manager Steve Lloyd.

We are grateful to the Worcestershire Golf Club for hosting such a fantastic event, and Ransomes Jacobsen for helping us show just how incredible their machines are.
