T6 180 – Powered, Productive and Sustainable by Nature
At our recent Agricultural Open Day, we were privileged to show the groundbreaking T6.180 Methane powered tractor and host New Holland’s resident Alternative Fuel expert, George Mills.

The T6.180 is part of the T6 range and delivers 180 max hp on boost, with a 100% gas powered engine. All of the customisation options you would expect on a T6 are available on the alternative fuel model and New Holland’s range of axles can be engineered to perfectly match your requirements. A popular misconception may be that you have to compromise on power to go green, but the T6.180 delivers the same power, torque and durability as its diesel counterpart, but with an estimated 30% reduction in running costs.
Exhaust emissions are reduced by 85% when powered by green gas, compared with a diesel engine and engine noise significantly reduced. The tank takes just 6 minutes to fill and holds 79kg of gas, giving you up to 12 hours of run time. The T6.180 also maintains New Holland’s industry leading 750 hour service interval and can be maintained by the service team at Turney Group on farm or at our depot if required. Significantly, there is no need for an after treatment system; no SCR, EGR or Adblue, saving you time and money better spent elsewhere.
We can work together with New Holland to develop an Energy Independent Farm system which works for you. New Holland is working with Bennamann which has developed a layered lagoon cover, to secure any fugitive methane emitted from the slurry, ready to be processed into fuel grade methane ready to power the T6 Methane Power.
