News: Press Release: Merlo Expansion

From The Turney Group

Turney Group is pleased to announce an exciting new chapter in the development of our agricultural machinery offering, as we expand our telehandler portfolio through an extended partnership with Merlo.

Following a recent strategic decision by our former supplier relating to trading territories, we have made the difficult decision to bring our long-standing relationship for the supply of Manitou telehandlers to a close. While this outcome is naturally disappointing given our history with the brand, it also presents an opportunity for growth and renewal as we look to the future.

We would like to reassure all customers that our commitment to supporting Manitou machines already in operation remains unchanged. Turney Group will continue to provide comprehensive service, maintenance, and parts support for the Manitou brand, ensuring that existing machines remain fully supported by our experienced and dedicated team.

Looking ahead, we are delighted to confirm that from 1st February 2026, Turney Group will become an authorised dealer for Merlo agricultural telehandlers, operating from all three of our agricultural depots located in Middleton Stoney, Bredon and Princes Risborough. Our appointed territory will cover the area from Gloucestershire across to West London, and from Northampton to Reading, enabling us to maintain strong local representation supported by sales, parts, and after-sales service.

Merlo is internationally recognised as a market leader in agricultural telehandlers, renowned for innovation, advanced engineering, and outstanding performance. This new partnership aligns perfectly with our commitment to offering high-quality machinery solutions and exceptional customer support. We are confident that the Merlo product range will add significant value to our customers’ operations and further strengthen our position within the agricultural machinery market.

We would like to thank our customers for their continued trust and support. If you would like to learn more about the Merlo range or discuss your future telehandler requirements, please contact your usual Turney Group representative, who will be pleased to assist.

Dan Coates, Operations Manager; Phil Bush, Managing Director; and Peter McFerran, Group Agricultural Service Manager; with Craig Parkes, Regional Sales Manager, Merlo UK
