We are delighted to welcome Dan Baker to Turney Group, where he will be joining us on 27th July as our new Garden Machinery Sales & Robotic Specialist.
Dan brings with him a wealth of experience gained through a lifetime spent around farming, horticulture and machinery. Having worked with agricultural and horticultural equipment from a young age, he has developed a deep understanding of machinery through both hands-on use and professional sales experience. This practical knowledge, combined with 15 years of machinery sales experience at another dealership, makes him a valuable addition to the Turney Group team.
As Garden Machinery Sales & Robotic Specialist, Dan will play an important role in supporting customers across our garden machinery offering while helping to drive the continued growth of robotic mowing technology. With increasing interest in autonomous lawncare solutions, Dan’s expertise will help customers find the right products for their needs while ensuring they receive the high levels of service and support that Turney Group is known for.
Ahead of his first day with the business, we caught up with Dan to learn a little more about his background, what attracted him to the role and what he enjoys outside of work.
About me:
I’m Dan Baker, I’m 40 years old and I’ve worked on and around farming and horticulture from a young age, using and repairing machinery of all sizes on the farm.
I bring with me a great deal of knowledge about machinery through both using and selling it, having spent 15 years working for another dealership.
I’m looking forward to:
I’m looking forward to bringing my experience to Turney Group and applying that knowledge to give customers the confidence to purchase from Turneys, while continuing to receive the high level of service they’re already used to.
I’m also looking forward to helping build on the fast-growing interest in Automowers and robotic mowing technology.
Fun fact:
A fun fact about me is that I definitely live up to my surname. I bake epic cheesecakes in all sorts of flavours, usually based on requests from my family.
Outside of work, I love spending time with my family and going to the cinema, as we’re all big movie fans.
Dan’s extensive machinery knowledge, customer-focused approach and enthusiasm for the industry make him a fantastic addition to the Turney Group team. As the garden machinery and robotic mowing sectors continue to evolve, his experience will help ensure customers receive expert advice, excellent service and the right solutions for their needs.
